The solar-powered cauldron is ceremonially lit by a group of Ilocano champions including Jemmuelle James Espiritu, Mark Anthony Domingo, Jesson Ramil Cid, Roger Tapia, Eric Ang, Edgardo Daquioag, and members of the Ilocos Norte Junior Baseball and Softball Teams.
